The Greek group commonly referred to in English as “Sect of Revolutionaries” emerged in Greece in the wake of the December 2008 unrest that followed the killing of Alexis Grigoropoulos. During their active years (2009-2010), they conducted four high-profile and symbolic assassinations using guns and small-scale IEDs, specifically targeting policemen and journalists.

Revolutionary Struggle was a Greek anarchist and anti-imperialist urban guerrilla organisation. The group became known for carrying out attacks targeting Greek government institutions and the United States Embassy in Athens. It was formally designated as a terrorist organisation by the Greek government, the European Union (EU), and the United States.
