Dylan Kassin, a New York City native, is a rising senior at George Washington University in D.C where he studies International Affairs, Arabic, and Computer Science. Dylan is fascinated by the intersection of energy security and national security, which led him to develop a novel green energy solution for which he received a grant from the Department of Energy. Dylan is also involved in D.C. and New York security policy think tanks, completing analysis and research in Hebrew, Arabic, Farsi, and English. Dylan spent the past year studying abroad in Israel, Palestine, Egypt, and Jordan honing his language skills and learning more about Sufism, Islamic architecture, Islamic law and very strong coffee. Dylan is excited to write for The Modern Insurgent after spending so much time reading it!
