Elvis T. Mantello

Elvis is an MA Student in Risk Communication and Crisis Management at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He had previously studied political science as an undergrad at Bratislava International School of Liberal Arts. He was born in Bangkok and raised in Japan and Canada. While studying at his university in Slovakia, Elvis found great interest in crisis journalism and photography. Simultaneously, he was the editor-in-chief of his school newspaper, Il Ponte. Elvis also worked as an intern corresponding to events within the film industry in Slovakia. He volunteered to help Ukrainian refugees in the Eastern regions of Slovakia at the start of the war in 2022. Elvis’ future goals include using his writing skills and photography to communicate insights into human affairs, understand how politics manifests in people’s lives, and amplify marginalized voices.
